Welcome to my website.

I am a specialty registrar in medical oncology at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, Manchester. Following undergraduate training in St Andrews and Manchester, I undertook clinical training in Manchester and Cambridge. I am currently a PhD candidate in cardio-oncology at the University of Manchester, exploring the role of novel biomarkers in the early detection of anthracycline-related cardiotoxicity.

Away from work, I am a keen amateur musician and music writer. I play timpani, percussion and piano with several orchestras in the North West, as well as the UK, European and World Doctors' Orchestras. I organise the percussion section for the European Doctors' Orchestra. I have conducted a number of concerts with the Manchester Medical Orchestra. I have written over 200 concert and opera reviews for Bachtrack in the UK and further afield, and contribute programme notes for several ensembles.
