Music
Away from work, I am a keen amateur musician and music writer. I play timpani, percussion and piano with several orchestras in the North West, as well as the European and World Doctors' Orchestras. I organise the percussion section for the European Doctors' Orchestra. I have conducted a number of concerts with the Manchester Medical Orchestra. I have written over 200 concert and opera reviews for Bachtrack in the UK and further afield, and contribute programme notes for several ensembles.
